Science Fair, April 30, 2019
The Matherville 6th Grade Science Fair was held on Tuesday, April 30, 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. at Matherville Intermediate. Each 6th grade student was given 6 weeks to complete a science experiment at home. The projects were scored based on the student’s understanding of what a control, an independent variable, and a dependent variable are, difficulty and originality of the science concept tested, and overall appearance of the student’s project board.
The third place award winners were: Aiden Terronez, Savanah Hauger, Alyssa Layer, Sydney Wright, and Ryan Fowler. The second place winners were: Aidan Geyssens, Marley Haley, Beth Churchill, Jenna Copeland, and D.J. Byrd. The first place award winners were: Violet Mesken, Macy DeBlock, Max Serre, Grady Steele, and Alex Spengler.
