Concerns & Troubleshooting:

Tips and advice to consider and keep in mind:

  1. Try to create a specific learning space within your home. A designated area will help your child to get in the mindset for learning and reinforce traditional classroom expectations.
  2. Try to limit distractions to help your child focus. While every home faces different challenges regarding quiet or personal space, fewer distractions support increased focus and attention.
  3. Keep communication with your child and their teacher(s) open and solution-focused. By working as a team, students will be able to make the most gains while learning remotely.
  4. Create a learning schedule to meet your family’s needs. While our teachers will be providing live lessons and supports at scheduled times, they may not fit your specific needs. Resources will be available (live and recorded), but please reach out to classroom teachers with concerns.
  5. Be open and flexible. These circumstances are new to everyone, school staff and families alike. No one will have all the answers, but together we will be able to find a solution.
