The Mercer County Health Department's mobile dental clinic will be offering preventative dental care for children in the Sherrard School District. The Toothmobile is a mobile dentist office with a licensed dentist completing the exam. All preventative care (such as exams and cleanings) that can be completed in a traditional dentist office is available on the Toothmobile. They do not however fill cavities or remove teeth. A referral may be made for further treatments if tooth decay is present.
All students are welcome and encouraged to participate in the clinic. As a reminder, this exam fulfills the state law requiring all Kindergarten, 2nd Grade, 6th Grade, and 9th Graders to have a mandated dental exam.
