Sherrard Elementary's fourth-grade students Rosie Haynes and Everly Hauman, along with Winola Elementary's fourth graders Opal Wood and Emma Phillips, recently completed creative "Yardstick Holder" projects for their art classrooms under the direction of Art Teacher Tony Vermeer.

At Sherrard Elementary, Rosie and Everly worked together to decorate their yardstick container. One side features Everly's design, while the other showcases Rosie's artwork.

Meanwhile, at Winola Elementary, Opal and Emma designed and decorated a similar container for their art room.

Both sets of students worked during their recess time to complete the project.

Their collaborative efforts resulted in a unique and functional piece that reflects their creativity and teamwork.

Mr. Vermeer praised all four students for their hard work and dedication, noting how their projects bring both style and organization to the art rooms.

These young artists turned practical storage into a canvas for self-expression.
