Nov. 21, Sherrard, IL - a group of Sherrard High School students attended the Building Futures Career Expo in Rock Island, an immersive event designed to introduce young learners to careers in commercial construction.

The expo featured interactive demonstrations led by local employers, educators, and skilled trade associations, offering students a hands-on opportunity to explore the craftsmanship behind various trades.

Students also had meaningful conversations with industry experts, learning about training requirements, typical workdays, wages, and career opportunities.
