This morning, Sherrard High School English Teacher Tammy Crippen - along with her daughter, 2017 Sherrard grad Claire Crippen were at the Today Show in New York where they saw Keith Urban perform. This trip will cross off several items from Tammy’s bucket list, something she uses as a teaching tool with students each year.
“I have been doing this for years. It's a great goal setting assignment. I tweak my bucket list and share it every year with the students.” She said when she saw an email from the Today Show with an opportunity to see a Keith Urban concert for free - so she applied.
On Aug. 25 she received a call from a producer of the Today Show granting her ticket.
“On my bucket list is a trip to New York, meeting Hoda Kotb, seeing Keith Urban, traveling with my kids, seeing the 9/11 Memorial... My seniors are so excited, and I am beyond the moon.”
She said her daughter, who is a producer for the Paula Sands show, is filming for KWQC TV6 to document the trip.
Crippen said she’s glad to take the trip to, “Show my kids and students that goal setting is important.”
