Sherrard Junior Dax Hoke recently won the ‘Battle of the High School Trophy’ at Cordova Dragway, racing in an Audi a8l diesel.

“I felt amazing knowing that I had no clue I was even going to race, then ended up racing and winning. 

The most notable stories of racing with my family is seeing everyone from my grandma to my stepmom to uncle doing what they love and having something we all love to do together!”

The ‘Battle of the High School Trophy’ travels, and will spend the next year at Sherrard High School in honor of Hoke's win.

“My dad had been trying for years when he was in high school but never made it past eliminations and I made it on my first try, beating the North Scott winner for the last two years.”
