Physical Education Courses
Physical Education contributes to all phases of individual development. It is the intention of the program to provide students with knowledge of the benefits of exercise and the principles of training necessary to achieve physical/health related fitness. This will also include skills, knowledge, and attitudes of selected sport skills that will have a carry-over value in later life. Grades are based on knowledge, participation, attitude, cooperation and respect.
This course is designed for students to learn proper lifting techniques, spotting methods, weight room safety and workout routines. Activities will include, but are not limited to, a multitude of lifts utilizing free weights, as well as an emphasis on conditioning and fitness. State mandated fitness-gram will be administered in pre and post- test form.
