“It’s been a fantastic experience. The kids, my kids… are really loving. Most of the kids on my bus now, I’ve had for the full eight years, I’ve watched them grow up,” said Jon Tygart.
Tygart has driven bus for students with disabilities at Sherrard School District for eight years - and is retiring at the end of this school year.
“I’ve loved it. I’ll miss ‘em but I’ll keep in touch.”
A surprise retirement party was recently held in his honor at the bus barn. See his reaction.
He said he and his wife, Paulette, are headed south - and he hopes to move before winter.
