Sherrard High School was proud to host our annual Achievement Awards Ceremony. It was a special evening dedicated to the hard work, character, and academic dedication of these remarkable students.

Sherrard’s own Rose Smith has been named a "Civilian First Responder Hero" for her life-saving actions during a 2024 tornado. Honored at Black Hawk College on April 30, Smith was celebrated for her "remarkable courage" in safely evacuating students during the storm in Coyne Center. We are proud to celebrate Rose’s commitment to student safety!

On April 30, 2026, Sherrard High School hosted a Trades Fair featuring 30 local businesses, providing students with invaluable firsthand exposure to diverse career opportunities.

PFC Terry Dinges, U.S. Marine Corps, and SPC Clark Mortensen, U.S. Army, representing the Erie American Legion Post 582, visited the High School Ag shop today to present official plaques to Mr. Rasty’s Ag Metal Fabrication 2 class.

Our students were hitting all the right notes this past weekend! From festival stages to football fields, the music department was busy representing our district with pride and talent.

Sherrard’s welding program continues its reign of excellence, securing 1st place for the 5th year in a row at the 8th Annual Black Hawk College Welding Invitational at the college’s Welding and Skilled Trades Center in Kewanee.

The Sherrard School Board has unanimously approved a strategic new "Grow Your Own" teacher preparation program, aiming to turn current students into future colleagues.
